CHEERLEADER BARBIE

"Barbie, I want to be a cheerleader,” said Teresa one day, “They have these really nice costumes!"
"Nice?” Barbie asked.
"Breathtaking,” replied Teresa.
"Maybe we could try. When are the rehearsals due?"
"Every Tuesday and Friday, I think,” Teresa said, “and one mustn't be late, or- quit!"
"OK, I can do anything, except-quit!"

It was hard at first. Barbie and Teresa were assigned the toughest roles of the choreography.
Barbie was afraid she will fall down from Teresa's shoulders and injure herself.

"We girls can do anything, Barbie,” Teresa said
Barbie had a true confidence in Teresa, but…

However, the night before the game Barbie had a dream. She dreamt she was an astronaut, a painter, a princess…Anything she ever wanted, and her list was big!
At the end of the dream she was-and woke up- a cheerleader.

Barbie hugged Teresa and said:"I'm not afraid anymore."
That day they were both cheering for the winning team, and made never-seen-before stunts!

BARBIE'S EARRING

Barbie got a pair of beautiful, heart shaped earrings from her father.
"I will always cherish them” she said, putting them on for the first time and watching her own happy expression in the mirror.
Barbie had worn her favorite pair of earrings every day, until she had- lost an earring!
Has Kitty eaten it?
Did it fell behind the matrices?
No one knew.
Barbie had put the "other" earring in her purse and went on an appointment with her friend, Vera.

"But Barbie,” Vera had said, "You can wear just one earring and still make a nice impression."
Barbie was skeptical, so Vera showed her a picture of the Rendezvous Gala Masquerade model, on which she was working.
"You see- it's special, it's modern, it's exclusive, like you are, Barbie"
"Yes, I am,” Barbie thought and said:"Thank you,” putting on her unique earring.

BARBIE'S CONCERT

Barbie and Midge were talking about Barbie's new concert. They were focusing on all the important things.
"What shall you wear?" asked Midge.
Barbie sighed.
When Barbie was a little girl, she went to a rock concert for girls.
A beautiful woman was there, singing, dressed in pink.
"I know it will be pink."
"But, as a rocker you would look better in black. And with small human sculls…"
"Sculls are really not my cup of tea."
Barbie made a few sketches and she went to a boutique with Midge.
"Yes, I can definitely do this,” the dressmaker said. She complemented Barbie's talent for drawing.
Barbie was happy, because “being dressed smartly is half a concert"

The days slowly passed, with Barbie practising her guitar. Then came the day of the concert.
Barbie went on stage.
Everybody was jumping and singing with Barbie. It was a huge success!

When the concert was over, Midge told Barbie somebody was waiting for her backstage.
Barbie thought perhaps it was Ken.
When she saw her childhood idol, she was so surprised!
"You were great, Barbie, the Rocker said.
"I still keep your autograph with me,” Barbie said, unfolding a piece of paper.
"It keeps me going" she said.
The two beautiful girls exchanged kisses with Midge watching over them like a mother.

BARBIE' S STYLE

Barbie had recently opened a new boutique.
That morning, while she was arranging the shop window, she felt the heat of the summer day.
She almost started sweating, so she went inside, put clips to keep her hair up, found an old T shirt and Capri pants. Raquelle came along, carrying her new keyboard like purse.
"Barbie, you look so hip,” she said, "Can I be hip as well?"

Barbie was surprised. Raquelle asked Barbie to sew for her a practical ensemble-just like hers!
Barbie thought about opening a store with informal clothing. It was so unlike her, but she could make a good profit.
"Some day," she said, "When pigs can fly!"
"Now, look at these", she showed the gowns to Raquelle. Raquelle forgot all about Barbie's T shirt looking at the beautiful new models!
"That's life", thought Barbie, wisely.

UNCLE LOUIE

"Here! You'll make better use of it," said Christie, giving the Barbie doll her pearl earrings.
"I suppose my sister will let you be the first one to wear her prom dress," Teresa said.
"Such sweethearts you are," Barbie said.
"But your Uncle Louie, has he called?" Teresa asked.
"Without Louie there is no dance. I cannot walk without heels," Christie said.
"Uncle Louie! Here's Barb for you on the phone."
"You know you are my dearest, sweetest uncle?"
Louie  Loubutoin was driving down the river Nile in a canoe. He was focusing on his fall collection while the still breeze cooled his wetted face.
"Teresa, Christie...
Six pairs?"
"Six pairs is a lot. And I have to finish...?"
"Hm...
Urgently"
"All right. I'll postpone my show, just to make you happy, Barbie! Just tell me, who's your favourite
uncle?"
